"Volunteering at Mercy is about offering patients (and staff) a smile and some conversation and meeting some of the most interesting and kind people I’ve ever met. But, it has also been one of the most personally rewarding things I’ve ever done. I am so glad that Mark and his team provided the opportunity and I expect to be coming into Mercy weekly for many years to come." - David Braverman
APPLY NOW"After a 42 year career in Laboratory Medicine and last 15+ years of that career as an active participant on the Mission Integration Committee, it was a privilege and joy to re-enter the work force as a dedicated volunteer. My commitment to the Sisters of Mercy as an employee in 1976 and as a Mercy Associate since 2012, reminds me every day that this association is not merely a job but a vocation to care and love God’s people through daily acts of Mercy. Being a volunteer has graced me with the opportunity to continue this ministry and vocation and for that I am truly grateful." - Maureen Ciesielski

I so appreciate the values of Mercy hospital and am happy to contribute to their efforts. All of the staff and doctors are very friendly and it’s great to say hi to people so happy to see you!" - Frances Dailey

VIEW OPPORTUNITIES"Our volunteer Eucharistic Ministers are integral members of our Pastoral Care team. As faith-based organization in the Roman Catholic tradition, Mercy Medical Center makes the sacraments available as often as possible to our Catholic patients. In bringing communion to the sick, our Eucharistic Ministers support both Mercy’s and the Church’s mission to witness the healing love of Christ present in the sacraments and within a community of compassionate care." -Erin Tribble, MA, BCC
VIEW OPPORTUNITIES"My staff and I are always excited to welcome volunteers into our B12 Family!!! We strive to align B12 tasks and initiatives with the goals and aspirations of the volunteers in order to create meaningful experiences…I think of it as a win-win. The majority of the volunteers I have had on B12 are considering becoming physician assistants. Partnering with me and my staff, they become part of the family, witnessing how teamwork, collegiate communication among caregivers, and compassionate care demonstrate Mercy’s values. It is a fantastic relationship, contributing to the growth of the volunteer and the needs of our unit and patients." - Tanja Gross, BSN, RN, PCCN
